EMOTIONS, part  2 - Love  quotes

1)    The Emotion of Love

The most noble of all emotions is love!  But why?
“God is love.” 1 John 4:8.

As God is eternal (Deuteronomy 33:27), unchanging (James 1:17), infinite (Psalms 147:5; Job 11:7), pure (Proverbs 30:5), holy (Leviticus 11:44-45; Psalms 99:9), and true (John 3:33; 2 Corinthians 1:18; Revelation 15:3), then that love is eternal, unchanging, infinite, pure, holy and true!

“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” Jeremiah 31:3.

This verse reveals that as God is love, then by God manifesting everlasting love to each of fallen mankind, He is actually manifesting Himself to us!

2)    “And I (Jesus Christ), if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” John 12:32.

Jesus Christ was and is the ultimate expression and manifestation of God and His love to you and me!  Jesus is truly “God with Us” (Matthew 1:23), and through Jesus Christ God is drawing all fallen and sinful human beings away from Lucifer and back to Him.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17.

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9.

These verses reveal that God’s love for you is eternal, unchanging, infinite and pure and holy!

3)     “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8.

These verses reveal that since God first loved you before you loved Him, then God’s love for you is also unconditional.

“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God”. 1 John 3:1.

There is nothing that the devil can do to prevent God's love from reaching you!

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8 35, 37-39.

4)    God is absolutely pure, holy and unfallen in nature, and so were Adam and Eve when first created.  But after they chose to follow Satan and committed sin, they became impure, evil and fallen, as well as all of their offspring.

“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”  Jeremiah 17:9.

These verses reveal that there is a true form of love that shows itself to be of God, while there is a false and a counterfeit form of love that shows itself to be unlike God.

TRUE FORM OF LOVE

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13.

This verse reveals that the true form of Godly love is seen expressed and manifested in self-denial and self-sacrifice for the benefit of others!

5)   “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1 John 4:7-8.

These verses reveal that there is a false form of love that would be just the opposite of God, being expressed and manifested in self-pleasing and selfishness for the detriment of others.  Lucifer or Satan is the author of all selfishness.  And depending upon which form of this emotion of love we express will determine whether we are allowing God to live in us, or are allowing Satan to live in us!

“God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16. (The opposite of this would also be true: those who do not express and manifest the true Godly form of love, would dwell in Lucifer, and Lucifer in them!)
