THE GODHEAD vs THE TRINITY, Part 2 quotes
1) How many Gods are there in heaven who are Godhead or Divine?
“In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.
The Hebrew word for God used in this text is “Elohiym”, and this word translates and means “specifically used in the plural of the supreme God” (Strong’s Exhaustive Hebrew Concordance, word #430). This word “Elohiym” is the plural form of “elowahh” which translates and means “the Deity” (Strong’s, word #433). So “Elohiym” is the plural form of God or the Deity - which means Godhead.
This means that Genesis 1:1 more correctly reads: “in the beginning, Gods or Deities or Godhead created the heaven and the earth.”
2) How many different Divine Beings were involved in creating the heaven and the earth?
“...God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 3:9.
“(God) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.” Hebrews 1:2.
“For by him (Jesus Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Colossians 1:16-17.
As only a God can create life, we see that there were at least two Divine Beings involved in creation: God - the Father and Jesus Christ His Son.
3) Were God and Christ the only Divine Beings of the Godhead involved in creation?
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Genesis 1:2.
“By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.” Job 26:13.
“Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.” Psalms 104:30.
This reveals that there were not just two Divine Beings involved in creation, but there were actually three Divine Beings – God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Bible does not reveal that there were any other Divine Beings who involved Themselves in creating the heaven and the earth, other than just these Three of the Godhead.
In knowing this Scriptural truth, we can now easily figure out just how many Gods Genesis 1:1 declares were involved in creation:
“In the beginning, Gods (or God – the Father, God – the Son, and God – the Holy Spirit) created the heaven and the earth.”
Simply adding up the participants involved in creation we see that there were three Gods!
4) It is strictly forbidden in the Catholic religion to believe that there are 3 Gods in heaven!
“Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the Catholic Faith; Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly. And the catholic faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in unity...So the Father is God: the Son is God: and the Holy Ghost is God; And yet there are not three Gods; but one God…So are we forbidden by the Catholic religion to say, there are three Gods, or three Lords…He therefore that will be saved, must thus think of the Trinity.” The Athanasian Creed, quoted in History of the Christian Church, Anti-Nicene Fathers, Volume 7, Section 132, page 690-693, by Philip Schaff, at http://www.tertullian.org/fathers2/ANF-07/anf07-33.htm#P4832_1828746, accessed 7-12-18.
The Catholic church even pronounces you to be anathema if you disagree with the Trinity!
“...the holy and catholic Church...therefore again say, if any one affirms that the Father and Son are two Gods, let him be anathema....If any one say that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three Gods, let him be anathema.” The Sirmium Creed, quoted in History of the Christian Church, Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, Series 2, Volume 2, Book 2, Chapter XXX, titled Creeds published at Sirmium in Presence of the Emperor Constantius, p 125-127, by Philip Schaff, at https://archive.org/stream/ecclesiasticalh02valogoog/ecclesiasticalh02valogoog_djvu.txt, accessed 7-12-18.
Anathema means to be cursed in the greatest intensity possible. There is even a special ceremony in Catholicism to anathematize someone.
The Pope or Bishop and 12 priests stand in a circle or in close communion, and each has a lighted candle, and then the Pope or Bishop states:
“Wherefore in the name of God the All-powerful, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost...in virtue of the power which has been given us of binding and loosing in Heaven and on earth, we deprive (the name of the individual) himself and all his accomplices and all his abettors of the Communion of the Body and Blood of Our Lord, we separate him from the society of all Christians, we exclude him from the bosom of our Holy Mother the Church in Heaven and on earth, we declare him excommunicated and anathematized and we judge him condemned to eternal fire with Satan and his angels and all the reprobate, so long as he will not burst the fetters of the demon, do penance and satisfy the Church; we deliver him to Satan to mortify his body, that his soul may be saved on the day of judgment.” Online Catholic Encyclopedia, under word "Anathema", at http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01455e.htm, accessed 7-12-18.
After pronouncing this anathema, all 13 drop their lighted candles flame first to the ground which extinguishing them, which signifies that the person is doomed to destruction as long as they continue to reject the Trinity Doctrine.
5) Each must choose whom we are going to stand with, serve and fight for, and compromise will be impossible!
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.” Matthew 6:24.
“Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.” Matthew 12:33.
“Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set.” Ezekiel 21:16.
6) Those who try to put off making this choice, or try to remain neutral forever in this issue, will be counted as making the wrong choice and will lose eternal life!
“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16.
7) God encourages His people to refuse all that is bad and instead choose Him and life.
“...refuse the evil, and choose the good.” Isaiah 7:15.
“For thus saith the LORD...choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name...I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.” Isaiah 56:4-5.
“But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days...I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days”. Deuteronomy 30:17-20.
