IS  THERE  BIBLICAL  PROOF  FOR  THREE  GODS  IN  HEAVEN?  quotes

1)     “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling: One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Ephesians 4:4-6.

“There is one...Spirit”.  The Greek word for “Spirit” used in this text is from Strong’s Exhaustive Greek Concordance, word #4151, and it translates and means “divine God”, “the Holy Spirit”.

“There is...one Lord.”  The Greek word for Lord used in this text is from Strong’s, word #2962, and it translates and means “God” “supreme in authority”.

“There is...One God and Father”.  The Greek word for God used in this text is from Strong’s, word #2316, and it translates and means “God” “supreme Divinity”.

Putting all these translated meanings together, let us now re-read the text:
“There is one body, and one divine God – the Holy Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling: one Lord God – supreme in authority, one faith, one baptism, one God – supreme Divinity and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Ephesians 4:4-6.

How many Gods does this text in the Bible actually teach that there are?  Is it just one God?  No.  Is it only two Gods?  No.  The Bible teaches here that there are three different Gods!  God - the Father, who is supreme in Divinity; God - the Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, who is supreme in authority; and God - the divine Holy Spirit!

2)    Did you realize that it takes three Gods in order to make possible the salvation of fallen human beings?  The plan of our salvation involves three major areas: 1) a sacrifice for sin, the forgiveness of sins, and divine grace personally working upon and dwelling within the hearts of human beings in order to cleanse their hearts and change them from loving sin to instead loving righteousness.

God - the Father provides the area of the forgiveness for our sins, But He can not personally come down and sacrifice Himself since in His presence sin as well as sinners would be instantly consumed and destroyed.  God - the Son Jesus Christ provided the area of a sacrifice for sin, but when He became human He lost His Omnipresence.   This means that since Jesus is now our High Priest ministering for us in the Most Holy Place of the heavenly Sanctuary, then His bodily presence is physically limited to where He actually is, and thus He cannot personally come down and work upon and dwell within our hearts.  Without another God, who can personally come down and provide the last needed area to make salvation possible by personally working upon and within our heart to cleanse it and change us from loving sin to instead loving righteousness, then the plan of salvation would fail.  And this third necessary area for our salvation is exactly the work that God - the Holy Spirit performs in each one of our lives, as well as through the Omnipresence of the Holy Spirit, both God the Father, as well as God the Son, can come and also dwell with us and rule in our hearts.
It took three Gods to undue all that Lucifer began by bringing sin and wickedness into this world.  Just one God alone could not make possible our salvation, and neither could two Gods.  It took three different Gods uniting together in order to make our salvation possible.  If there is only one God, then we are hopelessly lost!  If there are only two Gods, then we are still hopelessly lost.  But since there are three Gods, then our salvation is fully made possible.

3)   This unity of all three Gods working together to make possible the plan of our salvation is clearly brought out in several places in the Scriptures.  For instance: all three Gods were united together in creating the earth and mankind (Genesis 1:1-2; God - Father as Creator - Mark 13:19; God - the Son Jesus Christ as Creator - Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:14-18; and God - the Holy Spirit as Creator - Psalms 104:30; Job 26:13).  All three Gods were together when Michael was chosen in heaven to be the Redeemer of mankind (Isaiah 48:16-17).  All three Gods were together when Michael was conceived of Mary to be born Jesus Christ (Luke 1:35).  All three Gods were together when Jesus Christ was anointed at His baptism and the beginning of His public ministry (Matthew 3:16-17; Mark 1:9-10; Luke 3:21-22; Acts 10:38).  After the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and the fulfilling of the sacrificial part of the plan of salvation, all three Gods were depicted after Jesus ascended back to heaven (Acts 2:33).  All three Gods were then depicted at the stoning of Stephen and the opening up of the gospel to the Gentiles (Acts 7:55).  All three Gods were depicted making possible the plan of salvation for all mankind (Romans 15:16; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Ephesians 2:18-22; Hebrews 9:14; 1 Peter 1:2; Jude 1:20-21), and all three Gods are depicted as dwelling with their true followers (2 Corinthians 13:14).

4)    “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” Matthew 28:19-20.

If there was only one God, then you would baptize only in the name of that one God, because no other God but Him would be able to help you gain salvation!  But Jesus plainly commanded all His followers to baptize – not just the name of one God, not just in the names of two Gods, but in the names of three different Gods because each of these three Gods have their own particular work to do in making possible the salvation of each and every human being who is baptized in their names.

5)   “And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.  And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.  And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.  Revelation 4:6-8.

If there was only one God, then why are these four beasts or four living creatures saying Holy, Holy, Holy?  If there was just one God, wouldn’t they just be saying one Holy in offering praise to this one God?  So then why were three Holys said?
The Almighty is not sitting on this throne all alone.  This is because when Michael was born into humanity as Jesus Christ, then lived a perfect life, died as our sacrifice, was raised from the dead and then ascended back up to heaven, what did His Father then do?
“He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.  This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.  Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.  For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool.  Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Acts 2:31-36.

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Revelation 3:21.

When His victorious Son Jesus Christ ascended back up to heaven after carrying out His part in our salvation, and even though Jesus had His own throne placed on the right side of the throne of God, the Almighty then exalted Jesus to come and sit with Him on His own throne!  So now we can see both God - the Father and God - His Son Jesus Christ sitting together on the same throne of God, with the Almighty situated in the center and Jesus Christ sitting next to Him on His right side.  And it is only a God who can sit on the throne of God!
Now with both God the Father and God the Son sitting together on the same throne, the four living creatures should have said “holy, holy” in giving praise to the Father and Jesus.  But no, they said Holy, holy, holy three times!  So then as Jesus Christ is sitting on the same throne situated on the right side of the Almighty, then who do you think is sitting on the same throne on the left side of the Almighty and who can rightly be declared holy just as both the Father and the Son are holy?  It can only be the Holy Spirit, and again, only a God can sit on the throne of God.
We see that it was not just one God sitting on this throne, but three Holy Gods sitting in unity with each another and ruling Together over all the affairs of the universe – especially in making possible the complete salvation of fallen human beings.  That is why these four living creatures when standing before the throne said Holy three times because there were actually three Gods sitting on the throne of the Almighty, and not just one God.

If you also notice when the four living creatures were standing before the throne, they just did not say: “Holy, holy, holy, is God” which is singular, but they said “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty” which is plural.  Now when you look up each of these three Greek words for “Lord God Almighty”, you will discover that each word refers to a God!
The word Lord, means God (Strong’s, word #2962); the word God, of course means God, but in a different way (Strong’s, word #2316); and the word Almighty, means God, but in a completely different way than the other two (Strong’s, word #3841).  So these four living creatures used three different words which each referred to a God in a completely different way.  This meant that when they said “Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty”, they were actually saying “Holy, holy, holy, God God God” because they were actually addressing each one of the three different holy Gods who were unitedly sitting together on the same throne!

6)     What consequences are there if we should refuse to believe and actually deny that there are indeed three Gods in heaven?  Or what consequences are there if we refuse to believe or actually deny that any one of these three divine Persons and Beings are indeed a God in and of Themselves?
These three Gods in heaven are so closely united with each other, that if you were to deny just one of these three as a God in and of themselves, then you have actually denied them all.  For instance: If you should firmly believe that God the Father is the only God in heaven, you have thereby denied His word of truth that plainly declares that Jesus Christ is a God (Hebrews 1:8-9) as well as the Holy Spirit being a God (Acts 5:3-4).  So in denying God’s word of truth you have not only denied Him – since He is the God of truth (Psalms 31:5; Isaiah 65:16), but in doing so you have also denied God -the Son Jesus – who is the Truth (John 14:6), as well as denied God -the Holy Spirit – who is the Spirit of truth (John 14:17, 15:26, 16:13; 1 John 5:6).
If you should firmly believe that Jesus Christ is not a God Himself, you have actually denied Him, and in doing so you have also denied God the Father – because if you do not have the Son then neither do you have the Father either (John 5:23; 1 John 2:23, 5:10; 2 John 1:9), and in addition you have also denied God - the Holy Spirit since He is Christ’s Representative on the earth (John 16:7, 13-14; Romans 8:9; Galatians 4:6; Philippians 1:19; 1 Peter 1:11).
Also, if you should firmly believe that the Holy Spirit is not a God Himself, you have actually denied Him, and in doing so you have also denied God - the Father whom the Holy Spirit represents (Matthew 10:20; John 15:26; Romans 8:9; 1 Peter 4:14; 1 John 4:2) and brings to us (John 14:15-23), and in addition you have also denied God - the Son whom the Holy Spirit also represents (John 16:7, 13-14; 1 Corinthians 12:3; Galatians 4:6; Philippians 1:19; 1 Peter 1:11) and also brings to us (John 14:15-18).
If you deny either one of these three divine Persons and Beings as a God in and of Themselves, then by doing so you have actually denied all three!  And in denying all three by denying just one, then how could you possibly gain salvation?

7)    Exactly what is the Trinity doctrine?
“Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith; Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.  And the catholic faith is: That we worship one God in Trinity...So the Father is God: the Son is God: and the Holy Ghost is God; And yet they are not three Gods, but one God….So are we forbidden by the catholic religion to say; There are three Gods, or three Lords…He therefore that will be saved must thus think of the Trinity.” The Athanasian Creed, lines 1-3, 15-16, 20, 28, cited at Christian Classics Ethereal Library, under Creeds - Athanasian Creed, at http://www.ccel.org/creeds/athanasian.creed.html, accessed 2-20-13, also cited in History of the Christian Church, Volume 3, Section 132, page 690-693, by Philip Schaff.

8)    “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.  Be not ye therefore partakers with them.  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Ephesians 5:6-11.

9)    “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

“Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean that bear the vessels of the Lord.” Isaiah 52:11.

“Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity...” Jeremiah 51:6.

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4.

10)    “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free....If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:32, 34.
