HOW  MANY  GODS  ARE  IN  HEAVEN?  quotes

1)    “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.

The Hebrew word for God used in this text is “Elohiym” (Strong’s Exhaustive Hebrew Concordance, word #430) which is the plural form of 1 God.  Then this text more correctly reads: “in the beginning, Gods created the heaven and the earth.”

This true biblical belief that there was more than 1 God in heaven is not the Trinity doctrine.  We discovered last Sabbath that the Trinity doctrine teaches that there is only 1 God who split Himself into 3 Persons.  We also discovered that this Trinity belief originated in ancient Babylon, and then became the foundational belief of all pagan religions.  And we also discovered the startling truth that this pagan/Babylonian Trinity doctrine was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church as being a central doctrine of the Christian faith.  But as soon as you realize that there is more than just 1 God in heaven, then this pagan/papal/Babylonian Trinity doctrine is seen to be nothing but error, and its deceptive falsehood then begins to crumble in your understanding.  So when you understand that there is more than just 1 God in heaven, and that the Trinity doctrine is not Biblical truth at all, you then are beginning to be set free by this truth from all pagan/papal/Babylonian falsehoods!

2)   “...God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 3:9.

“(God) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.” Hebrews 1:2.

“For by him (Jesus Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Colossians 1:16-17.

3)  “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Genesis 1:2.

“By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.” Job 26:13.

“Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.” Psalms 104:30.

4)   “In the beginning, Gods (or God – the Father, God – the Son, and God – the Holy Spirit) created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.

So there were three Gods involved in creation!  To understand that there were three Gods involved in creation is not teaching the pagan/papal/Babylonian Trinity doctrine.  Again, the Trinity doctrine teaches that there is just one God who gave birth out of Himself to other parts of His essence – such as a Son and a Spirit, and therefore these three manifestations make up just one god, not three gods.  In fact, it is forbidden in the Catholic religion to believe that there are 3 Gods in heaven!  Yet in the very first verse of the Bible is found the truth that is just the opposite of the Trinity: that in the beginning there were three Gods who each involved Themselves in creating the heaven and the earth.

5)  “But unto the Son he (God - the Father) saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.  Thou has loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” Hebrews 1:8-9.

This very scripture passage, “therefore God (referring to Jesus Christ), even thy God (referring to the Father)”, shows us that God - the Son is humbly submitting Himself to God - His Father.  This truth not only clearly destroys the Babylonian belief that there is only one God in heaven, but it also clearly destroys the pagan/papal/Babylonian Trinitarian belief that there is just one God who divided Himself into three parts which are supposed to be all equal with each other!

6)  “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.  And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.” Exodus 3:14-15.

“(Christ stated) Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.  Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?  Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” John 8:56-58.

“Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:  And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.  And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD” Exodus 6:6-7.

7)   “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.” 1 Corinthians 10:1-5.

“Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.  He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he....And he shall say, Where are their (heathen people’s) gods, their rock in whom they trusted?...See now that I, even I am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I would and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.  For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.” Deuteronomy 32:3-4, 37, 39-40.

8)   “Then saith he (Jesus) to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach thither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.  And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.” John 20:27-28.

9)    “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6.

“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” Micah 5:2.

“Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.  I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.” Hosea 13:4-5.

What God is being described here in this text?  “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” Deuteronomy 6:3-4.

Which Lord God is this talking about?  It is talking about the one Lord God of the Israelites, who led them out of Egyptian bondage and to the promised land.  And which one Lord God was that?  It was the Great I AM, which the Scriptures plainly declare to be Jesus Christ.  So this one Lord God of the Israelites was Jesus Christ.
What Christ was declaring to His people was the fact that on this earth, “there is no god with me”, and “thou shalt know no god but me”, and there is only “the Lord our God is one Lord” and not many gods.  In other words Christ was declaring that He was the only God on this earth, and all the other so-called gods of the earth, including the Devil himself whom all the pagan gods were just a representation of, were false and were not to be worshiped.  But in declaring this fact, Christ was not in the least degree denying that His Father was God over all the universe!

10)  “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” John 20:29.

11)    There are indeed many who doubt that Jesus Christ is their God other than God - the Father.  Some of these include the following:
Baptist Minister Rodney R. Romney – "...He [Jesus] was not God, and never claimed to be." Journey to Inner Space: Finding God In Us, p 30.

Kenneth Copeland of TBN – "Thus saith the Lord, I Jesus, never claimed to be God." Quoted from 1991 tape by Texe Marrs, "More High Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Helen Shookman – "[Jesus said] I am not God....I do not want you to worship me." A Course in Miracles (regarded as a New Age Bible, and written under the direction of a spirit calling itself Jesus), quoted from 1991 tape by Texe Marrs, "High Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Jehovah's Witnesses – "Jehovah's Witnesses...believe that the Son is merely 'a god'...[but] he is definitely not Almighty God--Jehovah....And Jesus is only called 'a god' by way of concession."  Jehovah's Witnesses: Answered Verse by Verse, p 42, by David A. Reed.

12)    “Jesus saith unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.  Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26.

It was Jesus Christ - the Rock and everlasting God of Israel, which stated “I kill, and I make alive” (Deuteronomy 32:39).  So then all who refuse to believe that Jesus is also a God Himself apart from God - the Father, are thereby denying the Godhood of Christ and will be destroyed in the lake of fire.  They have ventured to deny that Christ is a God, and it is only because of the truth that Christ is indeed a God Himself that they can gain eternal life!

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us...He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life....And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ.  This is the true God, and eternal life.” 1 John 1:1-2 , 5:12, 20.

13)    Jesus Christ, referring to Himself, is directly speaking to each one of us and asks:
“To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.  Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.  Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgement is passed over from my God?  Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?  There is no searching of his understanding.  He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:25-31.

Will you accept Jesus Christ as your God and Saviour, or will you reject Him?  If you accept Jesus as really being your God, then when He appears in the clouds of heaven you can say: “ Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.” Isaiah 25:9.
But if you should refuse and reject the truth that Jesus Christ is your God, then you will not be able to say when He appears that “Lo, this is our God”, but you will instead say something completely different, as you will say “to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:15-17).
